Long Lost Updates

Apparently, being in graduate school and working takes up more time than I thought it would! Ty and I are so busy, it seems that we have to schedule time to breath into our daily lives! I am terrible at updating the blog, although I do think about it often. So, here's to hopes that it will stay updated from now on.

Ty and I both started back to school in August. It has been harder than we thought adjusting to graduate school. Ty works at the golf course still as well as at the church on top of school, so he is always busy! I am working for Baylor and LOVE it! Although at times the classes are stressful, I love every minute of grad life. One of my bosses approached me recently, too, and asked for me to help on a research project which I will begin soon. I am so excited to be part of this collaboration and cannot wait to see the end result. On top of that, I am now in charge of helping create the website for the School of Education Technology department. I am slightly scared of the amount of work that this will take and intimidated by the project, but it will be fun =)

Here are some pictures from the past few months! I will narrate the events as we get to them!

Youth Lock In, August 2013

To end the summer with our youth, we had a lock in! I was babysitting that night, so my boys came with us to bowl! After bowling, we went back to the church and played tons of games! By 3 am, I was exhausted and luckily, the youth were too. We went to bed and prepared to lead Youth Sunday the next morning. I am so blessed by our youth and their hearts! I will write another post on Youth Sunday soon!

Sweet boys. Loved hanging out with "the big adults"

Riley and Sam Visit, August 2013

Towards the end of August, Riley and Sam came to stay with Uncle Ty and Aunt Lizzie. This was the first time that they have stayed with us since the wedding, and it was so much fun to have this end to the summer. We went swimming, built forts and watched movies, went to the Jump N Place and went to Chuck E Cheese with Gaige and Kael. I really don't know what Ty and I were thinking taking four kids under the age of 6 to Chuck E Cheese, but they had a blast! It was worth it in the end when they were all asleep by 8:30 =)

One of my most favorite pictures of them!

what a stud.

LOVE Sam's face in this one!

We had to take a girl home from church on Wednesday. She lives just down the street from the church so we let Riley and Sam (with Seth's supervision) ride in the "trunk" of the suburban. They LOVED it!

Fort movie night!

They watched The Great Mouse Detective and we ate s'mores!

As you can tell, Toby hated this =)

Riley was showing all the boys up in basketball, just like her momma!

Of course, Sam made a friend =)

The face of "can I go play now and stop taking pictures??"

Love these blonde angels!

Suddenly best friends!

My sweet Gaige and me!

The best picture of the four of them!

Love my Sam!

nephew.

Can you tell we are tired??!

Riley and Sam visit, October 2013

This past weekend (October 11-13) Riley and Sam surprised us with a visit! We were so excited to have them come again, although we are definitely looking forward to sleep again! We went to a high school football game (where they each caught a football and met a new cheerleader friend!), had a movie night with some friends (I had to babysit Saturday, so Riley and Sam came to "help"), painted pictures for Honey and Preacher and helped run errands. We really enjoyed having our sweet niece and nephew back with us!

Sam-man and me before the game!
Riley love.

All four kiddos playing outside!

We made our own mini pizzas before movie night! yum!

By the end of the movie, the boys were so excited, they crawled out of the tent to get a better look!

Inside the tent!

Sidenote: Riley and Sam met Kendra at the football game and both were obsessed! They asked me to print off this picture and we had it framed and they both carried their frames everywhere the rest of the weekend. precious.
I hope that you have enjoyed this mess of pictures! I will hopefully be better about updating in the future =)

Lastly, here are some pictures of our home ready for fall! We are definitely looking forward to the cooler weather and our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! woah....exciting =)
