Ty's Week at Youth Camp

This was the first year Ty went to youth camp as a Youth Minister! We were so excited and praying for  the kids for the past few months, so we were all eager to see what God did. The Monday the kids left, however, we had some shocking news come in. One of the young men in our youth group (who did not go to camp) had died of a gunshot wound. All day, the minister and I worked to get in touch with Ty and to let the group know. It was a hard, emotional week for all of us.

However, God works through our pain. This week at camp, we had one girl accept Christ, two re-dedicate their lives, one answer a call to ministry, and several demonstrate a deeper understanding for the love of God. We went into the week broken, hurt, angry and lost.....God answered our prayers in greater ways than we could ever have imagined!

Please continue to pray for our church family and especially the youth as they deal with the death of a great friend. Ty and the kids are slowly adjusting to being back in reality and struggling to understand what's going on. We all appreciate your love, thoughts and prayers.

Enjoy these pictures! I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing, Godly man who serves these kids unconditionally!
