Last week was our Vacation Bible School at church at its theme was Sonrock Kids Camp. We had such a blast acting like the crazy camp counselors and playing games to minister to these sweet kids! After dealing with the death of a dear friend and member of the youth group on Monday, none of us were sure how the week would turn out. But Monday night, the youth showed up and were ready to love on kids. God is so good for giving them such peace and loving spirits!
Saturday we took the youth group to Six Flags to celebrate the end of the week and the ending of summer. It was also during their Christian Concert Series, so we were able to worship and hear great music too! I am so proud of the youth we have and the joy they bring into my life.
Sunday, we are baptizing TWO of our youth and Ty is getting to baptize one. It makes my heart so happy and full to see the impact he has had on these kids in such a short time!
My sweet friend Grace met us at Six Flags and it was such a blessing to spend the day with her! She and her hubby leave on Monday for Australia to live as missionaries there, so be praying for them and their work!
I left my camera in the car at six flags so you only get one or two pictures from the day, but rest assured that we had a good time. The kids have decided to call Ty and I "Mom and Popsy" and even argued with us when we assured them we had no kids =) They said "we will always be your first and favorites". Love them!
