Ellesyn's Nursery

So, I am planning on catching up with our lives and thought I would start by updating about our sweet little girl! Ellesyn is growing so much, but I want to start from the beginning. When we found out we were having a little girl, we were completely shocked! Immediately, I realized I needed to figure out what to do with her nursery since I hadn't even thought about having a girl to plan for! We knew we wanted something she could grow up with and didn't want to use a true pink. So, we settled on coral, navy and mint! We added in touches of gold and wood, but kept the furniture simple. So many details of the nursery are super special to us (more on that below!) But, with that, welcome to Ellesyn's nursery:

When you walk in to Ellesyn's nursery, to the left is her crib, night stand and chair! her bedding was made by a woman in Austin (from Etsy!) and the fabric came from Hobby Lobby! We loved the different fabrics mixed together and I love how it turned out!
Across from the crib is Ellesyn's dresser (from Ikea) where we have her changing pad and all her bows! The coral bow holder was made by a friend at work (Thanks Kitt!) and the floral "E" was made by Ellesyn's Tia Leah! It's hard to see, but the chalkboard was made by a sweet friend Holly. The rest is from random places to add to the theme!
I know this picture is dark, but under the window are shelves that hold Ellesyn's books (the rest of her books are in the closet!) The shelves came from Target along with her ruffled white curtains!

On the nightstand we have a lamp (from Walmart) and a golden Elephant that we got at Kirklands. On the far wall is a sign that was given to me by a coworker!
The chair was a gift from our hostesses at the Clifton shower and the pillow if my grandaddy Wayne's shirt. It is one of my most prized possessions!

Above the crib is a fabric banner that Momma Phelps made for Ellesyn! The sign was made my Ty and her name was pained by Holly! I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!

This sign was a birthday gift from Daniel and Anna. They didn't know that I was pregnant at the time or that I had told Ty I wanted this sign for our baby's nursery. It turned out to be a perfect gift! The hat on the sign was mine when I was a baby and the little bear clay statue was made by Riley for her cousin!

The nursery has become one of my favorite places in the house. I love looking at all the items that were given to us by those who love us the most. I love seeing my baby girl sleeping in her crib and the answered prayer that she is.

Until Next Time,
